Summary
For 9 years I was the President of the Sachse EDC's Board of Directors. In that role I witnessed, learned of, and documented numerous episodes of misconduct, lies, manipulation, and cover-ups happening on the Sachse City Council, primarily relating to Jeff Bickerstaff's initiative to have the former CEO of the Sachse Economic Development Corporation forced out of her job so that he could get the authority of the corporation transferred under the City Manager.
I'm sure some of the readers come here doubting what I've reported because you trust the people I'm exposing, and you start with the mindset of trying to justify continuing to trust them. That's okay. But I would ask that you ask yourself "If Spencer is right, what could he do to convince me?" That's exactly why I documented all of the lies and misconduct I witnessed. Read the emails and conversations, listen to the meetings and the phone calls, and I think the conclusion that I'm telling the truth will be inescapable.
I very much don't want to be doing this publicly. The City Council has had three years to properly investigate the complaint I filed, but they have refused, and I was told that I had to take this matter to the voters. Everybody hates "negative campaigns", but my only other option is to look the other way just like the council is doing, and I just can't do that. Read my entry on "Why I'm fighting so hard" below for more on that topic.
Numerous people in the community have criticized me for exposing this issue, and I just can't wrap my head around that position. I can't imagine being more offended by the person exposing corruption than you are about the corruption itself.
When a government and administration are guilty of lies and misconduct the voters need to hear about it. Why would we put blinders on and ignore it?
On this page, I'll be releasing updates on this issue, along with ample evidence of said misconduct, lies, manipulation, and cover-ups. Please check back regularly for updates over the coming days leading up to the city's 2025 elections on May 3rd.
Letter to Voters
This is a very brief letter to bring the matter to the attention of Sachse's voters.
This is a letter briefly summarizing my interactions with councilmembers Lindsay Buhler and Matt Prestenberg, both of whom have refused to investigate the complaint against Jeff Bickerstaff.

The Phone Call -- published February 8th, 2025
In this post, I've covered a phone call I had with Jeff Bickerstaff on February 1st, 2021, where Jeff told me the "council wants to see a change" to the former CEO's employment. I later learned there was no truth to that assertion, as the council had never debated the CEO's performance, and had never been fully informed of how she was performing in the role.

Phone Call with Brett Franks June 5th, 2021 -- published April 22nd, 2025
In this post, I've summarized a phone call with Brett Franks, who was calling several of the directors at the time, where Brett says that Jeff told him the board was aware of his concerns with the CEO. Brett knows that Jeff's story is contradicted by the directors, yet refuses to support a meeting to determine who is lying to him.
Phone Call with Mayor Mike Felix -- published April 22nd, 2025
In this post, I've summarized a phone call with then-Mayor Mike Felix from January of 2022, who had reached out to me after ignoring my previous attempt to talk to him in February of 2021. Mike made it clear in this call that Jeff had no basis to say that the council wanted any action taken on the CEO as they had never discussed her performance, and that he had never heard any council member say they wanted her removed. Despite making it clear to me that what Jeff had told me wasn't the truth Mike rebuffed me when I said that Jeff needed to be held accountable for lying.

Email to Mayor Mike Felix on February 25th, 2022 -- published April 22nd, 2025
In this post, I've recounted an email I sent to then-Mayor Mike Felix trying to show him that he had been manipulated into having "concerns" about the CEO which were not based on the facts of her performance. I was hoping to open his eyes to the fact that he had been manipulating into having concerns when no concerns were warranted, and I pondered why he hadn't called me to discuss his concerns when I had reached out to him explicitly for his opinion of the CEO in February of 2021.
